Gov. Brown asks residents to take steep measures to conserve water

California Gov. Jerry Brown issued his second emergency water conservation warning in three months.

That’s how severe our water shortage is getting.

“The dry season is upon us,” Brown said at an environmental sustainability meeting in Los Angeles. “With this proclamation I’m calling upon all Californians, municipal water agencies, and anyone who uses water to do everything possible to conserve.”

Brown asked residents to avoid washing their cars, watering their lawns and even accepting glasses of water in restaurants if they are not thirsty. He signed an executive order forbidding homeowner associations from fining residents who let their lawns go brown and dry.

If you’ve been thinking about an artificial lawn or you are looking for ways to help conserve, EasyTurf is your answer. Seventy percent of a household’s water usage is spent on landscaping – watering the lawn. 70 percent! That’s huge. I know not everyone in California is going to install EasyTurf to save us from the drought, but imagine if we did! We’d save millions of gallons every day.

There’s another benefit to installing EasyTurf and saving water – if you save 70 percent of the water you used, you’ll also be paying 70 percent on your water bill every month. EasyTurf will pay for itself in the long run.

Be it to save water or money, EasyTurf is the most realistic, durable turf on the market. You’ll have a lush, green lawn year round without having to water once.
